INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS SURROUNDING PACIFIC BLUEFIN TUNA IN TERMS OF THE CONSUMPTION AND CONSERVATION OF FISHERY RESOURCES
Abstract
By comparing with previous studies on whaling, this article considers the international relations of Pacific Bluefin tuna from the perspective of fishery resource consumption and conservation. Below, we review previous studies on the course of events that led to commercial whaling in 1982 and propose their implications. Then, this will involve the international relations of the Asia-Pacific countries related to Bluefin tuna and the current fishery regulatory status. After that, the issue of Pacific Bluefin tuna and whaling will be compared, and the common ground between them will be highlighted from the international relations of the protection and consumption of fishery resources, and hints about the future of Pacific Bluefin tuna’s international relations will be extracted.Issue
