Journal of Advanced Higher Education Studies (JAHES) is an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes rigorous scholarship on the structures, cultures, and transformations shaping higher education worldwide. The journal welcomes empirical studies, critical reviews, conceptual papers, comparative analyses, and high-quality case studies that connect evidence to practice and policy. JAHES is especially interested in research that explains why reforms succeed or fail—across governance, teaching and learning, student experience, research ecosystems, financing, quality assurance, and the growing influence of digital systems (including AI) on universities and academic work. Interdisciplinary submissions are encouraged, particularly where higher education is examined through lenses such as public policy, economics, sociology, management, learning sciences, and data/analytics.
