RESEARCH PROGRESS OF PHOTOCATALYTIC HYDROGEN PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY

Abstract

Hydrogen production directly from water by solar energy is one of the important ways to solve the world energy crisis. The mechanisms of the photocatalytic decomposition of water into hydrogen and oxygen are summarized. Four kinds of photocatalysts are used currently and the ways of improving their activities are introduced, and future study is previewed.
